What is a Country Anyway?
A country, better called a “jurisdiction” because there are many smaller areas within countries such as territories, provinces, states, etc. is an area where a particular set of rules (laws, regulations, etc.) apply.
For example, the laws of Canada don’t apply in Germany and vice versa.
Why is this important?
Because if you don’t like the rules in one place you can potentially move to a place where a different set of rules apply.
Now, you might be saying “but I don’t want to move” and this is fair you might live someplace great, you might have family and friends and other ties there.
But what if you didn’t have to move?
What am I talking about?
Very often it’s not you it’s a member of your team, a partner or a company.
Unlike people companies can move from one part of the world to another at the stroke of a pen.
